After more than a decade of working in the clean beauty industry, Amra noticed that the oral care market was saturated with chemically based products.
Pregnant with her first child, she worked with chemists to develop healthier and natural toothpaste for the entire family.
Just a few years later, joining forces with her sister, they created an entire line of oral care products. Her line Terra & Co. is carried at many luxury retailers across the country such as Saks Fifth Ave, Neiman Marcus, and multiple sustainable hotels.
Her company was featured in Harper Bazaar, Vogue, Forbes, WSJ and many more.
Tune in today to hear where Amra’s 20-year journey in the industry began and what gave her the confidence to launching her own brand.
She also shares her top five tips for beauty professionals and business owners as well as a few social media and marketing tips.
Terra & Co. is Sustainable Oral Care and has a number of activated charcoal and clean ingredients which we chat about while going over a few of the products such as the toothpaste, floss and tooth brush, and how often we should really be replacing them.
Amra learned a lot while working with the chemists in the labs and she also gives back. When you make a purchase on terraandco.com, the company makes donations to women’s shelters in the Los Angeles area.
Amra also shares how her and her sister, who is the other half of this business are so different in personalities and their characteristics, that it makes for a smooth sailing when it comes to running this business.
All this and more on today’s show.
