41: SEASON ONE RECAP

In today’s episode I am recapping my very first season of podcasting. I really pushed myself with this passion project. I went out of my comfort zone to create The Beauty Debut Podcast, and so glad I did. I learned so much about myself, the industry, podcasting and so much more which I get into today.

When I first launched the show, I was the VP of a clean beauty brand, then the pandemic happened and for the first time I found myself on unemployment. This podcast saved my mental health and kept my spirits high, as everyone, especially for us in the beauty industry suffered a huge hit.

We have had to learn how to pivot and find a new peace and new normal within our passions that were taken away from us. We had to find a new way for us to channel our creativity. For me, it was showcasing others and their stories.

I’ve spent over 25 years in the beauty industry and the last 10 years in professional sales for skincare and makeup before launching this show. I wanted to create and record episodes for both the spa and salon professionals.

I wanted this podcast to bring you behind the scenes to get a look at what it’s like to work in the beauty industry…The Good, The Bad and the Catty.

This first season was full of conversations with the women and men that work in the world of beauty, successful entrepreneurs, sales leaders, medical professionals, and wellness professionals. I cannot wait for you to hear what I have in store for Season Two.

I was able to create several series as well. Episodes that highlighted women owned businesses, inner beauty, Latinas in the beauty industry, menopause, micro-episodes, and products and services that I absolutely love.

I am currently embracing all the changes. One of them being my grey hair and becoming part of the #silversisters community on Instagram. Another being a pro-age advocate. Really helping to normalize it all, while I do love my Botox, I also love reality. It is where I live and thrive, being the truest version of myself.

Season Two will be back shortly. In the meantime, I want you to remember that no matter where you are in your career journey, it is never too late to make your debut…

Also, I would love to stay connected over on Instagram. My link is below.

Wishing you a wonderful 2021 and I will talk to you again soon.
